Open your mind
Here's the thing — if you're reading this, your mind is already open. Maybe not fully, maybe tentatively, but the fact that you're here, asking questions, considering that something could be different — that's a shift and an opportunity. An open mind doesn't arrive perfectly formed. It comes through the door curious, a little unsure, and ready enough.
I work one-on-one in English (hello internationals) with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or out of touch with living a genuinely meaningful life. My belief is simple: everyone experiences pain — that's just part of being human. But suffering, that sense of being pushed around by our thoughts and feelings, isn't inevitable.
I offer tangible, humanising strategies and perspectives — not to fight your mind, but to work with it. Together, we explore your relationship with challenges, difficult thoughts and emotions, and start moving toward what actually matters to you. Right now, as you are. You don't have to remain stuck, and you don't have to do it alone.
Hi, I’m Andrew
I'm a trained mental health therapist with experience counselling adults in community health and unemployment services. I have supported individuals with broad-ranging issues such as anxiety, depression, unemployment, loss and traumatic life events, among others.
I completed my counselling education at the Australian College of Applied Psychology (ACAP) in Melbourne, Australia. Now living in Denmark, I am accredited by Dansk Psykoterapeutforening (Danish Psychotherapists Association). I offer individual therapy online and in-person in Odense in English.
I strive to provide an open-minded, caring and genuine approach. My ambition is to enable personal growth, resilience and motivation to achieve your desired ambitions. The underpinning wisdom that has shaped my practice is influenced by various modes of therapy, including Person Centered, Gestalt, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), among others.
ACT is an evidence-based approach that guides you to manage difficult thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them, while taking meaningful action aligned with your personal values. ACT teaches practical skills to handle life's ups and downs and helps you build a rich, purposeful life even when facing challenges.
If you're dealing with anxiety, depression, work stress, past trauma, addiction, or if you simply feel stuck and want to live more in line with what's important to you, ACT can help.
My style of working is present and future orientated, meaning I aim to support your current challenges and offer development that aims to assist you now and in the future. Whilst I believe our history informs our present way of being, it's possible to cultivate adaptive ways of responding to experiences and create opportunities for new futures.
If you are interested in working together, contact me for a free intro call where we can explore if we are a good match for future work.
